With over 35 years in a variety of development roles, Steve brings a strong background of construction, land planning, design and project management, and project entitlements to Guillon Inc.
Mr. Honeycutt initially started his construction background working for his father, managing a concrete crew at the young age of 16 and gaining experience in all facets. Subsequently he has managed the development and construction of multi-phased mixed-us communities, numerous concrete tilt-up industrial and commercial buildings, apartment projects, single family residential subdivisions and shopping centers.
Steve has managed site feasibility analysis, project design, entitlements and construction for corporate clients including Electronic Data Systems, Home Depot, Rite Aids, to name a few. Mr. Honeycutt has completed projects for private developers on numerous buildings, apartment complexes, residential subdivisions and shopping centers as well as public agencies.
For the last several years he has directed development projects in Ukiah, including crafting and implementing planning and development of the Ukiah Depot Site for the North Coast Railroad Authority and facilitating the sale of the site for the new Mendocino County Superior Court Complex. He has demonstrated an ability to build consensus on projects that involve public and private interests including master plans, area specific plans, soil groundwater pollution remediation programs and other complex challenges. Mr. Honeycutt believes that on-going honest and open communication is the key for any project to be accepted by the community and ultimately successful.
